StepsHave you ever wondered how many miles students actually march during a band season? Is it 50, 75, 100 or more miles? Well, this year you will find out that answer. In honor of those students highlighted in the Documentary Film “From the 50 Yard Line”, Ayala’s very own students will be partaking in a study to address this very question.

Emily Hauck, Alto Horn player, has volunteered to wear a pedometer to all band practices, rehearsals, football games and competitions this year. The information gathered for this project will be recorded on our website so that students and parents alike can see what it takes to be a part of the Ayala High School Marching Band and Color Guard.

On 11/08/08 the Ayala Band and Colorguard marched 23,100 steps (7.82 miles) on thier way to becoming the BOA Western Regional Champions.
