INDOOR WINTER PERCUSSION

Marching Drumline, also known as the Percussion ensemble, is considered one of the leading high school drumlines in the nation. Under the leadership of Darren Van Derpoel, the marching drumline has achieved unparalleled success at the World Guard International (WGI) competitions, including:

A three-time gold medalist in Marching Scholastic World and eight-time gold medalist in Concert Scholastic World

21 World Championship Titles (11 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze)

Thirty-three appearances in finals - concert & marching combined - more than any other school in WGI history.

The third highest World Class score ever (2009, PSCW)

A medal in every scholastic class offered by WGI at World Championships (PSA, PSO, PSCO, PSW, and PSCW) - Ayala is the only school to achieve this feat.
