The Ayala High School Wind Ensemble is the premiere Wind Band for advanced woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists. This ensemble is determined by an audition. The Ayala High School Wind Ensemble performs standard and contemporary band repertoire including transcriptions and college level pieces. Advanced technical concepts and skills are taught as required by the musical selections. The Wind Ensemble performs at local, state, and national music contests and festivals. This past school year, the Wind Ensemble received “Unanimous Superior” at every music contest and festival. The Wind Ensemble recently performed in New York’s prestigious Carnegie Hall in the Spring (March) of 2023. The Ayala High School Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Mr. Tim Trost.
