MARCHING BAND

Nationally known for its rigorous drills and innovative award-winning musical performances, the Ayala Band and Colorguard consists of students who perform music for its own sake, and build strength through competition as a team. The Ayala BAC is under the direction of Tim Trost with assistance by Kyle Martinez.

During the fall marching season, the marching band competes in local, regional, and national competitions. In select years, the band and color guard travel to Indianapolis to compete at the Bands of America Grand National Championships alongside over 100 bands from across the country. At Grand Nationals, the BAC has consistently made semi-finalists (top 30) and and has twice been a Grand National Finalist (top 12). In other years, the BAC travels to Fresno, California to compete in the Western Bands Association (WBA) Championships. They have been named Grand Champion of WBA three times.
