The Ayala Jazz Combos are student rehearsed. Combos will learn a variety of tunes and will have opportunities to further develop their skills in improvisation. The Jazz Combos attend a variety of local high school jazz festivals during the spring semester, including an annual tour to the prestigious Reno Jazz Festival, a four-day event at the end of April where over 300 performing groups from around the nation come to compete, and world renowned jazz musicians, clinicians, educators, and composers judge the event. The Jazz Combos are led by Kyle Martinez.
